CH-025 Heating resistor quartz (no longer in use)
Replaced by CH-810
Quartz heating is a type of radiant heating, commonly referred to as short-wave infrared heating. The tubes are manufactured from quartz glass (fused silica), which protect and support the heating coils. They provide efficient transmission of infra-red radiation, good resistance to chemical and contamination.
Heating coils are wound in various grades of iron-chrome-aluminium alloys to match the applications and operating conditions, and typically generate radiant emission in the short to medium wavelength range.
