812-AA-360-E Couple of Self-lubricating Wedge blocks (Left and Right)
A wedge is a triangular shaped tool. It is used to separate separate Hot Roll and Impression Roll by limiting the course of the hot Roll when compressed air is applied to the air cylinders and keep it in place.
The mechanical advantage of the wedges is given by the ratio of the length of its slope to its width. These are made on purpose to specifically serve the needs of 810 and 812.
In 810 and 812, the wedge is used to maintain the correct space between the Hot Roll and the Impression Roll.
